Step-by-step instructions for connecting the integration.

First step

Integration is possible with four types of loyalty cards:

What you must have in order to connect the integration:

  • An account in our service

  • A customised loyalty card (cashback card, discount or reward card) or all three types of cards. You will be able to test all three types and choose the one you like best.

  • Restaurant Management Suite must be connected in order to use this integration. A detailed video on how to do it.

If you already have all of these, go to Toast Marketplace and connect the integration Boomerang.

Next, Toast Integrations Support team will be able to configure the loyalty.

Second step

​Need to find out Restaurant ID.

The restaurant guid is not visible to customers. Please reach out to your Onboarding Consultant or the Customer Care team to retrieve your location's unique GUID number.

Third step

Go to the integration section, select Toast from the list, and click “Connect.”

Select a card template and enter your Restaurant ID. Your integration is now connected.

After connecting the integration to reward or stamp templates, you will have access to advanced settings for receiving and using rewards.

Reward card:

1. You can set up points for certain items on your menu. To do this, select the Products type. Choose how many items will earn points and how many points will be awarded.

2. Advanced settings for “Item $” and “Item %” rewards. You can set up the reward so that the customer can only use it for certain items from your menu. You can also set a limit and a period of use for the limit. For example, in the screenshot, the reward is set up so that it can be used twice a month and gives a $10 discount on ribs.

3. Set up the application of the discount (reward) for all eligible items on the customer's receipt or for only one item on the receipt.

Stamp card:

1. You can set up stamps for certain items on your menu. To do this, select the Products accrual type. Select the number of items for which stamps will be accrued. And how many stamps will be accrued.

2. Advanced settings for “Item $” and “Item %” rewards. You can set up the reward so that the customer can only use it for certain items from your menu.

3. Set up the reward to apply to all eligible items on the customer's receipt or to only one item on the receipt.

For discount and cashback cards, the new template settings do not appear.

For new customers in Toast, cards are not automatically issued with the first order.

Therefore, we recommend that you distribute cards in your establishments via QR.

Fourth step

Now let's see how the integration works:

1. You need to place an order in Toast.

2. Find the "Rewards" block, find and click on it: "Look up customer" ❗️Note. If you do not see the search client button. Contact Toast technical support. They will help you set up this button for you.

3.Find the customer by their loyalty card number

or find the customer by name, email, or phone number. Click "Lookup"

3. Select an available reward (discount) and apply it to the receipt. If you do not want to use the reward and want to accumulate points/stamps, skip this step.

4. Pay for the order.

5. Check the change in the balance on the customer's card in your Boomerang account.

In this case, we used a 200-point reward, and the receipt also included a product for which 10 points were awarded.

✅ If you don't see available rewards with a client in Toast. You need to do the following: You need to add more items to the cart to be able to apply the discount. The amount in the cart must be greater than the applied discount.

✅ The user counter in the integration will always be 0 - this is normal, this is not an error. Since there is no user synchronization in the integration with Toast. All users on our side are always 0.

You can upload clients on our side and specify in the file how many points each client has. Then issue them a card. But you need to do this after integrating the card.

I recommend trying and uploading a small number of clients (for example, 5 people).
