Customer Retention & Automated Push Notifications

Important: AI for Business (Richie AI) is a tool designed for sub-accounts (businesses) to automate customer retention. It is not related to β€œRichie for Agencies”, which is a completely different feature with different functionality.

Overview

AI for Business (previously Richie AI) is an intelligent automation system that helps businesses increase customer visit frequency and retention through personalized, behavior-based push notifications.

The AI analyzes how customers interact with the business β€” including their visits, purchases, and card activity β€” using data collected from both the POS system and Boomerangme. Based on these insights, the AI automatically sends tailored push notifications designed to boost customer engagement and encourage repeat visits.


How It Works

After the feature is enabled, the AI starts collecting customer behavior data. To function properly, there must be:

  • Customers with linked wallets/cards

  • Real completed transactions

Once enough data is gathered, the AI automatically divides customers into two groups:

1. Control group

Customers who do not receive AI-generated notifications.

2. Active group

Customers who do receive personalized AI-driven push notifications.

You can see the distribution of these groups directly in the main dashboard statistics.

Notification Frequency

The AI determines:

  • how often to send notifications

  • the intervals between messages

  • which customers should receive them

This logic is based entirely on customer behavior and the business niche. Therefore, it is essential to correctly specify the business category in the sub-account settings.


Availability and Settings

  • For new sub-accounts, AI for Business is enabled by default.

  • Agencies can disable this option in their plan settings, if needed. For example, AI can be available only in premium plans.

  • If you want to activate AI for existing sub-accounts, simply contact our team, and we will enable it manually.

  • If you need to disable the AI for a specific sub-account, just let us know β€” we can turn it off for you.


Key Notes

  • AI does not start working immediately β€” it first needs time to collect enough data.

  • All push notifications are created and sent automatically based on customer behavior.

  • The feature can be enabled or disabled at the agency plan level.


Example Use Case

An agency may choose to keep AI for Business enabled only in higher-tier plans, emphasizing the additional value offered at that level. For standard plans, AI can be turned off if automated customer marketing is not required.
