You can create a promotion for your customers.

Promotions in Boomerang are designed primarily for customer communication and event marketing. They don’t affect the main loyalty logic or point accrual rules β€” instead, they help inform customers about special events, campaigns, or offers. For example, you can create a promotion to announce a β€œSweet Week”, invite customers to a store anniversary celebration, or notify them about a limited-time gift. During the promotion, the card design can change, and customers will see the promotional details directly on their loyalty card, helping you increase visibility and engagement for specific events or campaigns. To do this, go to the "Promotions" section.

In the promotion creation form, enter the promotion name and description. Also, select the fields that will be displayed on client cards during the promotion.

Also, add an image that will replace the card background during the promotion (The recommended file size is 960β€ŠΓ—β€Š252 pixels. Only PNG format. 3 megabytes). You can view a preview of the promotion in the adjacent tab.

Set usage limits: per-client limit and total usage limit for the promotion.

Select the templates to which the promotion will apply. Each template can only have one promotion per period. If everything is ready, set the status to active.

Usage Limits

In this section, you can set two optional limits for the promotion:

Limit per member – the maximum number of times a single customer can use the promotion.

Max global usages – the total number of times the promotion can be used across all customers.

Both fields are optional. If you leave these limits empty, the promotion will have no restrictions β€” customers will be able to use it an unlimited number of times.

The promotion can be redeemed in the customer account and in the scanner. In the scanner, the customer's usage and the total remaining usage for the promotion are indicated by a slash.

How to Delete a Promotion

To delete an existing promotion, open the Promotions tab in your dashboard. In the list of active or scheduled promotions, locate the promotion you want to remove. On the far right side of the row, click the trash bin icon. After confirming the action, the promotion will be permanently deleted and will no longer be available to customers.

How Promotions Interact With Card Mechanics

Promotions do not change how a card works. A promotion cannot double cashback, cannot add extra stamps, and cannot increase a discount. Promotions also cannot automate extra points or extra rewards. They do not affect the earning rules of the card in any way.
